Interior
You can enter the salon of Caribbean Blue from the Sun deck or from starboards thru the lower helm door. The salon is huge with 6 6 of head room and large tinted windows with mini blinds. Two leather sofas, port and starboard, with under seat storage and a teak coffee table make for a comfortable living environment.. There is a TV / VCR combo to port with cable TV hook up and an entertainment center to starboard. An AM/FM Stereo with cassette player and a 12 disc CD player with speakers in the salon, aft cabin, forward cabin, sun deck and fly bridge with individual on/off switches brings entertainment to all levels of the ship.
The lower helm is to starboard with instrumentation and does not encroach on the salon.
The galley is full width with teak and holly sole and features 2 Norcold refrigerator/freezers, a Princess 3-burner stove with oven, a Magic Chef dishwasher, a trash compactor, a Nutone food center microwave/convection oven, wine glass rack and plenty of counter space that doubles as a bar. There are 2 pantries and ample storage for provisions for those extended cruises.
The master stateroom is located aft and features a centerline queen-sized berth, hanging lockers, ample drawers, vanity/desk and washer/dryer, plus blue and white curtains and matching bed linens, with separate air conditioning and climate control. There is also a computer for navigation etc. The master head features a shower (shallow tub) and sink.
The guest stateroom is forward featuring an oversized V berth providing generous sleeping accommodations for 2, with storage beneath a hanging locker and drawers.
The guest head features a shower, sink and head with Lectra/san MC type 1 MSD treatment system.
Exterior
The large covered Sundeck has a teak sole and a fiberglass cover. On the sundeck you will find a table with chairs a large dock box for storage and a dry bar with storage cabinets with a U-Line refrigerator/ice maker. From the Sundeck you can step down and aft to the cockpit and swim platform. The cockpit has a transom door The swim platform is new and recently installed. The cockpit has a teak deck and there are fresh and saltwater washdowns, rod holders a life ring and a lazarette leading to the rudder access area plus storage space.
Stepping forward and up from the Sundeck is the flybridge. The bridge features a large seating area for approx 10 guests with custom cushions and extensive under seat and under helm storage with access to wiring and controls. There is a large table for entertaining or for reading charts while planning a long passage, all protected by a new bimini canvas with ultra clear stratoglass windows. There is a centerline captains chair and a full array of instrumentation. The instrument console is covered and consists of a full array of engine and navigational instruments (see electronics section).
The fiberglass deck has a wide walk-around design that makes getting around easy. There is an electric anchor windlass with foot controls on the deck and a second set of controls on the bridge. Ground tackle consists of a large Bruce type anchor with chain and rode, plus an FX55 aluminum Fortress anchor with chain and rode. There is an air horn as well as a spot/search light controlled from the bridge. There is a bow pulpit with rails and side stanchions with lifelines. There are fender holders, navigation lights and a deck washdown system. The dinghy and manual davit sit on the sundeck fiberglass roof.
The dinghy is an Alliance 10 6 rigid inflatable dinghy with telescoping oars and a 15hpYamaha outboard engine.
Electronics
The lower helm instrumentation includes all engine gauges as well as water tank level, rudder indicator, hour meters. Also installed at the lower helm are a Kenyon RT80 VHF radio a Datamarine log & depth system a Lowrance C100 a Micrologic ML95 remote control display and Ritchie Compass.
The upper helm instrumentation includes all engine gauges a 24 mile Raytheon radar, a Kenyon VHF radio, intercom, a Garmin color screen GPS, Datamarine chartlink, Cellular phone antenna and a Autohelm 7000 auto pilot. There is a Glendenning engine synchronizer.
Mechanical
The twin 3208 TA diesel engines are reliable and bulletproof with moderate original hours. The port engine has approx. 2710 hours the starboard has approx. 2684 and both have stainless steel exhaust system elbows. There is a Glendening electronic engine synchronizer, Bennett trim tabs; Engine temperature alarms, emergency engine stops and fuel shut-off valves. Theres acoustical and thermal insulation as well as a convenient lube oil transfer system (pump out/in). Other items of mention include the following:
